FAQ

Common questions from new clients.

If you have a question that should be answered here, email the office. We add what firms keep asking about.

How fast can you serve?

Same-day service is available in Lucas, Wood, Hancock, Allen, and Fulton counties when the order arrives before noon and the address is good.

Rush service across the rest of the route starts within 24 to 72 hours.

Routine service starts within five business days and includes a minimum of three attempts.

What do you need from us to start an order?

The documents to be served, the full name and last known address of the party, your case caption, the service-type instruction (routine, rush, same-day, skip trace, or court filing), and an email address for the completed affidavit. Special instructions and prior service history help us route the order correctly.

How much does it cost?

Flat rates by service type, posted on the services page. No add-ons buried in the invoice. Difficult-service work and skip-trace cases are quoted per case before any work starts.

What comes back when service is complete?

A notarized affidavit of service formatted to Ohio Civ. R. 4.1, a GPS-stamped photo log of every attempt, and a time-stamped courthouse return when filing was part of the order. Everything is in your inbox the next business day after service.

What happens if you cannot serve the party?

After three documented attempts, we file a diligence affidavit covering each attempt with date, time, address, and observations. The diligence record supports a motion for alternate service or service by publication.

Do you serve outside the thirty-county coverage area?

We cover thirty counties across Central and Western Ohio directly. For addresses outside our route we partner with vetted servers across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. Email the office with the county and we will tell you whether we handle it directly or hand it off.

Are you bonded and insured?

Yes. $10,000 surety bond on file. Every server is background-checked and court-recognized.

Can you file at the courthouse too?

Yes. Conventional and e-filing supported across our route. We bring back time-stamped copies the same business day. Service of process and filing can be combined into one order.

Do you serve subpoenas for out-of-state cases?

Yes, with proper domestication. Send the domesticated subpoena and we will serve it under Ohio rules.

How do I pay?

Invoices are sent on completion of service. Most firms pay by check or ACH. We do not require payment before service for established clients.
